Every year, the Rotaract Global Model United Nations conference is held in a different country around the world, and this September, it's coming to Salerno, Italy!

Rotaract MUN Salerno 2023 is a prestigious four-day event that aims to bring together exceptional young minds from across the globe to engage in meaningful diplomatic dialogue, foster cultural exchange, and find collaborative solutions to pressing global issues.

The Rotaract MUN Salerno's vision is to highlight, throughout the whole process, the Rotary Values and Areas of Focus with a crucial value given to Positive Peace. Defined as the attitudes, institutions, and structures that, when strengthened, lead to a more peaceful society, Positive Peace describes an optimum environment for human potential to flourish. It is not only associated with higher levels of peace but it is also associated with stronger macroeconomic performance, as the factors that sustain highly peaceful societies also provide a framework for robust economic development.

• Our first package, named after Tortula De Ruggiero, who was an Italian doctor, probably active in the medical school of Salerno in the second half of the 11th century. With this all inclusive package, you won't have to deal with anything other than getting to Salerno! Here's what you'll get:

• Our second package, named after Abella di Castellomata, known as Abella Salernitana, who was an Italian doctor active in the fourteenth century, and taught in the Medical School of Salerno. This is the “only conference” package, if you already know where to stay and what to eat.

• Our third package, named after Francesca Romana, born in 1384 to a noble family, she is one of the saints who represents the figure of the Christian woman of great dedication in all the states of her life. She also founded a religious community, that of the Oblates of Monteoliveto. This is our “only dinners and parties” package, for the ones who know where to stay but want to join for the social events.
