We are delighted to announce the beginning of a new era for OACMUN, Serbian MUN and our official partnership with the Oxford United Nations Association, a University of Oxford Student Society recognised by the University of Oxford and affiliated with the United Nations Association of the United Kingdom. The MUN conference organised by our partners from OXUNA is the oldest Model United Nations conference in Europe! Utilising their profound experience and knowledge in the world of debate as the oldest European conference, we wish to expand our horizons and take on new challenges to deepen our understanding of MUN. 

To achieve this, we are organising a joint conference with our Oxford partners in Belgrade, bringing Oxford students and other international chairpersons to Serbia. This conference will introduce innovative committee systems, unlike anything you have seen before! Alongside the many chairpersons coming from Oxford, you will have the opportunity to engage with our experienced Serbian chairs, who will also be using this chance to further expand their chairing skills. We believe this partnership is of great significance, not only for OACMUN but also for Serbia’s educational and debating landscape, showcasing Serbia’s commitment to youth, global dialogue and diplomacy well beyond the region. 

The unconventional state of these committees, which we are yet to discuss in detail, is something never seen before, in Serbia or anywhere else. The visual, informational, and every other aspect of them will allow you as a delegate to delve into your committee like never before. Although we can’t reveal everything yet, rest assured that in the coming days, you will have the opportunity to read about these committees and in the coming months, experience them firsthand! While it might seem as if we have unveiled everything, worry not, surprises are yet to come!

The merging of two sides of Europe that this conference represents promises to be one of the most remarkable opportunities for learning, exchange, and educational as well as personal growth, a young person from this region can have.
