We hope this letter finds you well. My name is Yoon, the Secretary-General of Nexus International School Model United Nations Conference 2024 (NISMUNC 2024), and on behalf of the 2024 Secretariat Team, it is with great pleasure that I extend a warm invitation to your institution to participate in NISMUNC 2024 which will take place from the 1st to 3rd of March 2024. 

NISMUNC, with an impressive 11-year history, has firmly established itself as one of Malaysia's leading Model United Nations conferences. We aim to provide a platform for delegates across a range of expertise, from beginner delegates to experienced delegates, to develop their understanding of international affairs, diplomacy and leadership skills through active debates. 

As advocates for global citizenship and diplomacy education, we are committed to providing an enriching and educational experience for our delegates. This year’s chosen theme, '#cha11engedby_,' reflects the core spirit of NISMUNC. The agendas presented have been curated with care by our Secretariat Team to address the most relevant and pressing issues we face in this modern day. The skills attained, refined and developed through NISMUNC 2024 will undoubtedly become valuable assets as you navigate the challenges of the future. The following topics were chosen to inspire active and heated debates, encouraging you to delve into the complexities of global affairs.

    1. An exciting opportunity for delegates to represent news agencies from across the world and the political spectrum. Allowing delegates to view an MUN conference from an alternate perspective and see it from beyond a single council room. Delegates will be given a series of journalistic tasks such as hosting press conferences, breaking news, and writing opinion editorials as well as news reports.

Delegate Registration Process:

To register as a delegate for NISMUNC, please follow these steps. Please note the age limit should not exceed 21. The delegate registration form can be found here

Early Bird Registration (RM130): 28th November, 2023 ~ 8th December, 2023.

Regular Registrations (RM145)9th December, 2023 ~ 28th January, 2024.

 

Group Delegation Registration Process:

A group delegation MUST have a minimum of 5 delegates and a maximum of 10 delegates. Due to the size limit, a single institution will be allowed to send an unlimited number of group delegations. Kindly only fill in this Google form once even if your group is larger than 5, we will contact you to split it once registration has ended.

All group delegations will be automatically eligible for the 'Best Group Delegation' award which will be awarded to the group delegation with the highest average delegate score. 

Group delegations can choose to either register and pay individually or as a group. More information about group delegation registration can be found on the registration form here

We are pleased to announce that we can also assist your delegation in arranging for accommodation and transport, please contact our secretariat team for further details.

Teacher Advisor Registration Process:

Deadline for registration: 23:59, 28th January, 2024. The teacher advisor registration form can be found here

 

As a teacher advisor, you will gain access to observe your students in our council rooms as well as to our Teacher Advisor lounge where you can work with complimentary WiFi. In addition, you may opt to purchase our meal plan for RM85 which will provide you with lunch on Saturday and Sunday, dinner at Socials on Saturday as well as refreshments served throughout the conference.
