MUNISS 2024

The MUNISS 2024 Executive Team kindly invites you to the 17th annual Model United Nations Conference, held at the International School of Stuttgart, Germany from the 18th to the 21st of April 2024.

MUNISS offers an educational and challenging opportunity for students to grow in both character and knowledge. It allows students to reinforce the knowledge that is learned in the classroom, teaches students about current global issues, develops critical thinking skills, and aids in building confidence and leadership skills. For the past 17 years, we have had the pleasure of hosting delegates from all over the world and are looking forward to welcoming, once again, a diverse group of delegates.

The chosen theme for this year's conference will be "Adapting to the modern era: Ensuring global progress and equity". We are planning exciting debates to discuss global issues that arise as we transition into the digital age, such as: How can we reduce inequalities and combat discrimination? How can we support international cooperation and equitable distribution of resources? How do new technologies influence the way we approach these goals? Together, we'll explore creative solutions to reshape the world for a brighter, more equitable future!

Fees

Below you can see the participation fees for the conference. These will include everything, ranging from meals and snacks to all relevant conference materials, including train tickets for the entire duration of the event. Once we have the final attendee counts for delegates, chairs, and directors joining MUNISS from your school, we will provide you, as directors, with an invoice detailing the charges for your school, along with our banking information. You will be able to pay through that.

Registration and Application

Due to particularly high demand this year, school applications have been closed ahead of schedule. Should you wish to inquire about the possibility of a late registration, please contact us at muniss@issev.de.

Accommodation

This year we will be offering limited housing for students. If you do not wish to be housed, there are numerous youth hostels and budget hotels in and around Stuttgart. We have an accommodation page (https://muniss.net/accommodation/)on our website where you can find hotels, restaurants, and information regarding the Stuttgart public transport system. No need to purchase your own train tickets though, as they are provided complimentary as part of your experience. Please let us know if you have any questions about accommodation in Stuttgart. If you are not opting for host families, you will be responsible for arranging your own breakfasts and dinners as a school. However, lunches and snacks will still always be provided during the conference by MUNISS.
