Bridging Horizons
La Salle Beit Hanina School, established in 1876, has a rich history. It's a place dedicated to education and learning. Today, we're starting our very first Model United Nations (MUN) conference. This idea came from a group of students who were inspired by the positive impact of MUNs in other places. They wanted to bring this experience to our school to spark curiosity and awareness among their peers.
We're committed to making this MUN the best it can be. We believe in allowing everyone to speak up and stand for their rights. Our main goals are understanding global issues better and developing critical thinking skills. We want to improve our diplomatic skills and find creative solutions to important world problems. Through research, public speaking, debates, and writing, we're preparing the leaders of tomorrow to handle the challenges of our complex world.
We're also teaching our delegates how to tell the difference between political power struggles and diplomatic negotiations, and we're connecting with delegates from different regions to get diverse perspectives. Our theme "Bridging Horizons" connects different regions and promotes diplomatic negotiations.
In our conference, each committee focuses on different issues. We cover a wide range of concerns, from international security to environmental protection and human rights. Delegates discuss and come up with solutions. Together, we aim to make the world a better place.
