- Essay Topics: Participants must select one from a list of provided topics focusing on current international political issues, global governance, international security, diplomacy, and human rights.
- Word Limit: Essays should be between 500 to 3,000 words, excluding references.
- Format:
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size.
- Spacing: Double-spaced.
- Citation Style: MLA9
- Language: English.
- File Format: PDF.
- Originality: All submissions must be original work. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- Eligibility: All high school, university, and graduate students.
- All finalists will receive a certificate of recognition and their essays will be published on the competition website.
- All participants will receive a participation certificate.
Process:
- Registration: Participants must register individually through the unstop portal.
- Submission: Essays must be submitted in the position paper section after your application is accepted.
- Evaluation: Essays will be evaluated based on originality, depth of analysis, clarity of expression, and relevance to the selected topic.
- Announcement of Results: Winners will be announced on October 1, 2024.
Competition Rounds:
- Initial Submission: All participants submit their essays by the deadline.
- Evaluation: A panel of experts in international politics and relations will review all submissions.
- Finalists: Top 10 essays will be shortlisted and published on the competition website.
- Winner Selection: The top 3 essays will be chosen from the finalists based on detailed criteria.

Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities
- Question: "What are the primary challenges to achieving sustainable development in developing countries, and how can international cooperation help overcome these barriers?"
Financing for Development in the Global South
- Question: "What innovative financing mechanisms can be implemented to support sustainable development in the Global South, and what role should international institutions play in facilitating these mechanisms?"
The Role of International Law in Conflict Resolution
- Question: "How can international law be strengthened to more effectively resolve conflicts in regions with protracted disputes, and what reforms are necessary to address its current limitations?"
The Impact of Digital Technologies on Global Governance

Rules:
- Team Composition: Only individual participation is allowed.
- Original Work: All submissions must be the original work of the participants. Plagiarism or Generative AI use will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Citation: Proper citation of sources is mandatory.
- Communication: All official communication will be done through the registered email addresses.
- Judging: The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
- Rights: By submitting an essay, participants grant the organizers the right to publish the essay in any format.
