GAKMUN 2024

Hello there future chairs and delegates,

We would like to welcome you to the first Model United Nations Conference at our school Gymnázium Andreja Kmeťa. The conference will take place in Banská Štiavnica, a town known for its beauty and history. The date is Jan 26 - Jan 28 2024, don't forget to put it in your calendars.

We have prepared five committees for you, where you will spend three days intensively discussing topics from different sectors. You can be taken back in time and discuss the issue of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant or experience for yourself Turkey invasion of Cyprus. And if history isn't your thing, you can choose the WHO committee to cover the topic of alcoholism and prohibition. Of course, we couldn't forget about human rights so you can discuss the protection of journalists or the protests in Hong Kong.

Our conference isn't just about debating, you'll make new friends and we'll make sure you have the best time possible.

Conference fee for delegates is 65 €. Price includes fee for conference, meals and accommodation. Accommodation is located right next to the school where the conference will be held. The accommodation is a renovated dormitory of our school.
