Welcome to DASMUN!

Date: Jan 13-14

Location: Online

This year, DASMUN is thrilled to present two dynamic General Assembly committees that delve into pressing global issues - the Committee on Generative Artificial Intelligence (CGAI) and the Committee on Women's Rights and Empowerment (CWRE).

Committee on Generative Artificial Intelligence (CGAI): In an era dominated by technological advancements, the CGAI will explore the intricate landscape of Generative Artificial Intelligence. Delegates will grapple with questions surrounding the ethical considerations, economic implications, and societal impacts of the rapidly evolving field of AI. As nations navigate the uncharted territory of Generative AI, the committee will address issues such as bias in algorithms, data privacy, and the potential for AI to bridge societal gaps or exacerbate existing inequalities. Delegates will be challenged to collaborate, negotiate, and draft resolutions that pave the way for responsible AI development.

Committee on Women's Rights and Empowerment (CWRE): Empowering women and ensuring their rights are fundamental to building inclusive and equitable societies. The CWRE will focus on issues ranging from gender-based violence and discrimination to economic empowerment and political representation. Delegates will engage in discussions to identify barriers that impede progress toward gender equality and work together to develop strategies to overcome these challenges. Topics may include access to education, healthcare, and employment, as well as addressing cultural norms that perpetuate gender inequality. Delegates in the CWRE will strive to create resolutions that foster a more just and equal world for all.
