COMUN-Gouda 2018

COMUN is a one-day Model UN conference organised by students attending the Coornhert Gymnasium in Gouda. This year’s Secretariat will once again consist of four enthusiastic students, with Elsemieke Siemonsma, Nika Engelen, Isa Dijkstra and Rona de Bruijne. For the third time, we are organising a conference for students with an interest in debate and international politics. Our unique one-day conference structure means COMUN will have a full day of constructive debate, focusing on finding new ideas and sustainable solutions for the most pressing current global affairs.

The committees that will be present at COMUN are a Security Council (with a two-person delegation per country), an Economic and Social Council, a Crisis Committee and a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. These committees will be focusing on issues regarding this year’s conference theme: ‘Climate Action’.
