CoEMoN! 2024

From 26 to 29 August 2024, enjoy an unforgettable experience with the Council of Europe Model of Negotiation (#CoEMoN! 2024), organised by the Fédération pour la Diplomatie et les Nations Unies (FDNU) in direct collaboration with the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Join 250 European students for 3 days of exceptional simulations of the two statutory bodies of the Council of Europe: the Parliamentary Assembly and the Committee of Ministers through 6 committees in French and English, with amazing socials and full coverage of registration fees and accommodation. Play the role of a parliamentarian from one of the 46 Member States and make your voice heard! Don't miss this unique opportunity to plunge into the heart of European diplomacy.

Please note:

If you wish to take part, a deposit of €30 will be required at the time of registration, which will be refunded at the end of your participation in the event.

The event will cover: registration fees, accommodation costs from 26 to 29 August (a hostel located in Strasbourg city centre will host all delegates taking part in the event), social costs and lunches during the simulation.

Outline of the event:

Monday 26 August (from 13:00):

• Visit to the Council of Europe
• Opening ceremony

Tuesday 27 August :

Simulation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), adoption of a recommendation

Wednesday 28 August:

• Simulation of the Committee of Ministers, adoption of a reply to the recommendation adopted the day before
• Closing ceremony (during the evening)

Participants will be expected at 13:00 on Monday 26 August at the Palais de l'Europe in Strasbourg. Participants are advised to arrive in Strasbourg the day before, or on the morning of 26 August, and to leave Strasbourg on the morning of 29 August in order to take part in the whole event.

Nb:

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email indicating whether you have been selected to take part in the event. Once you have received this confirmation email, you will be given details of how to pay the deposit, so that you can confirm your attendance at CoEMoN! 2024.

Some transport and dinner costs will not be covered.

Rejoignez 250 étudiants européens pour 3 jours de simulations exceptionnelles des deux organes statutaires du Conseil de l'Europe : L'Assemblée parlementaire et le Comité des Ministres à travers 6 commissions en français et en anglais, avec des socials inédits et une prise en charge complète des frais d’inscriptions et d’hébergements. Remarque : Si vous souhaitez participer, une caution de 30€ sera à prendre en compte lors de l'inscription et qui vous sera remboursée à la fin de votre participation à l'événement. L'évènement prendra en charge : Les frais d'inscription, les frais d'hébergement du 26 au 29 août (un Hostel situé au centre-ville de Strasbourg accueillera l'ensemble des délégués participant à l'évènement), les frais de socials ainsi que les déjeuners lors de la simulation.

Déroulé de l’événement :

Lundi 26 août (à partir de 13h00) :

• Visite du Conseil de l’Europe
• Cérémonie d'ouverture

Mardi 27 août : 

Simulation de l’Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe (APCE), adoption d’une recommandation

Mercredi 28 août :

• Simulation du Comité des ministres, adoption d’une réponse à la recommandation adoptée la veille
• Cérémonie de fermeture (durant la soirée)
   

Les participants seront attendus à 13h00 le lundi 26 août au Palais de l'Europe, à Strasbourg. Il est conseillé aux participants d'arriver à Strasbourg la veille, ou le 26 août dans la matinée, et de quitter Strasbourg le 29 août au matin afin de participer à l'ensemble de l'événement.

Nb : 

Après votre inscription, vous recevrez un courriel de confirmation indiquant si vous avez été retenu pour participer à l'événement. Une fois ce courriel de confirmation de sélection reçu, les modalités de paiement de la caution vous seront communiquées, permettant ainsi de confirmer votre présence au CoEMoN! 2024.

Certains frais liés aux transports et aux dîners ne seront pas pris en charge.
