"The student event on global issues of greatest importance in Latin America and the Caribbean"
CILA 2014 will be the gathering point for over 1,500 youths from middle schools, high schools and universities. The students from the Dominican Republic and other regions of the world will work together in an environment of diplomacy and cooperation in the pursuit of solutions to the greatest challenges faced by the international community in three of the official languages of the United Nations (UN): Spanish, English and French.
At the conference, the students will simulate 18 commissions of the United Nations and other multilateral, regional and international organizations. Furthermore, we will offer seminaries, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, and social and cultural encounters about topics directly related to the agenda of the United Nations.
CILA 2014 will unravel a series of parallel activities to Model United Nations among which stand out: the Workshop-Seminary for Faculty Advisors, the Cultural Encounter, the Global Concert, and the Delegates’ Cocktail.
