CAPMUN 2023

CAPMUN is a bilingual Model United Nations conference that is held annually for high school students by the University of Ottawa Model United Nations Association.
 

This year is a very exciting year for CAPMUN because, with the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions, we are pleased to host CAPMUN’s 9th annual conference entirely in person once again from March 2nd, 2023 until March 5th, 2023. Therefore, we believe that this year’s theme: “Resilience Against Adversity” encompasses all the struggles we have faced over the past few years and allows us to move forward so that we can understand and resolve other issues that are still present in our world.

There are so many great reasons to get involved in Model United Nation, such as to learn about diplomacy and foreign relations, as well as enhance one’s debate and interpersonal skills.

Additionally, we have many specialized events planned outside the committee sessions which focus on diplomacy and international relations. For example, delegates will have the chance to hear from professionals, such as Members of Parliament and Ambassadors, as well as explore the House of Commons and more.
