The World Health Organization is a specialized agency that operates within the United Nations. It aims to improve health on an international scale, guided by values of universality of accessibility, ensuring quality of life, and international cooperation. The WHO has served to advance the world scientifically and medically since its conception. Delegates will discuss critical topics that challenge the social, economic, and political areas of modern healthcare. Furthermore, delegates must find ways to balance the perspectives of their respective member states and find viable solutions to pressing threats to human health and safety. As a result, delegates will cultivate an understanding of existing inequalities in global healthcare and how human wellbeing is fundamentally tied to global issues as a whole.

About the committee

After the murder of the High King by Ulfric Stormcloak, and the first sighting of a dragon in over 1000 years, the province of Skyrim was plunged into chaos. Now, with no leader to unite the armies of the nine holds, Skyrim is at the mercy of the dragons, who carry with them a doomsday prophecy. To address the serious issues plaguing the province, Skyrim’s most knowledgeable and important individuals have been called to a round table meeting. Tensions are high as opposing political groups debate on the brink of civil war. The question is, will the delegates of the Council of Skyrim be able to put aside these differences for the greater good, or will this era of Skyrim’s history be its last?

Delegates participate in high-intensity sessions where they must be well-informed and adept at diplomacy, navigating evolving global scenarios while collaborating with others to craft effective solutions. This unique MUN experience tests their crisis management skills, making it an exciting and educational component of CANMUN.
