The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Sustainable development goal: 4 is quality education. The goal of primary education for all people has come a long way since 2000. In 2015, 91 percent of children were enrolled globally. However, in some developing regions, progress has also been difficult because of extreme poverty, armed conflicts, and emergencies. Thanks to this goal, by 2030, all children will have had free elementary and secondary education, and equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university will be ensured

About the committee

In today’s environment there is more and more deviation into far right ideologies. We can see this most prominently in the newly affected political leaders throughout the world. Fascism and relatedly neo-nazism is also on the rise mostly amongst young male individuals, this “teenage interest” has real-life consequences and tends to actively hurt marginalized groups. Delegates of SOCHUM will aim to discuss this acute global rise in far-right ideology and make recommendations to member states and partner institutions in order to reduce both the generation of such movements and their effects.

The era of global boiling has arrived.” The catastrophic consequences stemming from carbon-driven climate change inflict great suffering upon people all around the globe. Water scarcity, extreme weather events, and rising sea levels stand out as the driving factors behind climate migration. Faced with the decision to leave their homelands, many individuals are compelled to seek refuge across international borders. As the European Union’s executive body, the European Commission is faced with the task of protecting the interests of those already on the continent while fulfilling its responsibility to ensure the safety of climate refugees.

The Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), which is housed in Vienna, is a functional body of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. The commission serves as the main administrative body for the UN's efforts in the fields of criminal justice and crime prevention. The General Assembly enacted a resolution in 2006 that expanded the CCPCJ's functions by granting the CCPCJ the authority to act as the UNODC's governing body and to approve the UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Fund's budget. Conditions of the prisoners itself is an unresolved issue simce day one. From health issues to mental issues such as paranoia and insomnia. However, West Africa is also of critical importance to the global economy, as it is a major source of rare earth materials, uranium, and other commodities. Countries in West Africa provide essential raw materials and energy for major economies like Europe. If peace in West Africa is disrupted, it could have a ripple effect around the globe. In recent years, the situation in West Africa has only gotten worse. Major powers are vying for influence in the region, and dangerous mercenary groups like Wagner are operating with impunity. This has led to an increase in violence and instability, which has displaced millions of people and caused billions of dollars in economic damage.

Towards the end of World War I, the morale of the German army was at its lowest as they were pushed back and left with no hopes of winning. Despite all of this, the German Naval Command ordered one last battle with the British Royal Navy. The sailors did not obey the preparation order; instead, they revolted and followed this revolt with the Kiel mutiny on 3 November 1918.
