Breaking Barriers

Dear Administrators, MUN Directors, and Advisors,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the in-person 6th annual session of the American College of Greece Model United Nations (ACGMUN) Conference, hosted by Pierce-ACG on the premises of our school in Athens, Greece, on Saturday, April 1st and Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. We are excited and pleased to announce this year’s theme:

Breaking Barriers !

It is indisputable that boundaries are formed in the United Nations’ attempts to achieve better living standards, equity and other aspirations included within the Sustainable Development Agenda, set by the UN to be achieved by the year 2030. Therefore, in hopes to stress the critical state of such blockages, the theme of the 6th ACGMUN is set as “Breaking Barriers”, with issues being raised that range from environmental, geographic, economic and social barriers to many more!

ACGMUN is a two-day conference conducted in English and open to secondary school students (ages 14-18). Our conference serves as a simulation of the United Nations and provides students with the opportunity to speak on issues of importance in the volatile and troubling world we live in. Through participation in the conference, delegates increase their knowledge of diplomacy, develop critical analysis, practice public speaking and negotiation, and develop friendships beyond their community.

  • Delegate Allocation (Form II) & Payment Due Date: Sunday, February 26, 2023
