Topic A: Empowering Women in STEM/STEAM In this day and age knowledge is an important thing and we keep making new discoveries , especially in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It’s one of the reasons why countries are aiming to improve in the fields of STEM. STEM could be helpful to the country’s development, but behind all the encouragement and support on STEM, there is still one main problem that is frequently forgotten, that is Gender Equality. There is an ongoing stigma in the STEM fields where its is known as a “man’s field”. History has shown us women with high achievements in STEM, some of them even received Nobel Prize for their achievements, take Marie Curie for an example, clearly there are countless women who have helped the development in said field.
