Maastricht Summit

The Kingdom of Denmark values its membership in the European Community (EC) very highly. In 1972 concerning their membership in the community and in 1986 about the Single European Act the Danish people have shown their commitment to further economic integration between EC members.

Nonetheless, the Danish remain euro sceptical people especially regarding any attempts of political integration or even union. The established tradition to let the people decide European matters in a referendum will surely also apply in this case if any treaty change is negotiated. Even consider...
