The importance of agricultural exports is increasing all over the world, and so is the need for free competition and successful global trade within this sector. For many developing countries including the Republic of India agricultural sector is of vital importance.
Sadly, the voice of almost 50 developing countries, India included, has not been heard by the developed countries when negotiating the Nairobi Package. In order to tackle current issues India insists on amending the WTO’s agreement on agriculture to include a new article of the SSM.
