Position Paper of the Republic of Bulgaria

Bulgaria sees the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy as one of the fastest growing EU policy areas. Bulgaria has actively participated in the both civilian missions and military operations. Our contributions include Bulgarian Armed Forces participation and monitoring missions on the European continent, as well as policing and conducting training within the scope of mission tasks in the Middle East. Moreover, our country will continue to participate with trained military units in EU Battle Groups as a significant element of the effective EU Military Rapid Response Concept.
