Position Paper Punishing LBTQ Individuals

The nation of Colombia firmly affirms its stand in regards to the LGBTQ community. The Colombian constitution decriminalized consensual homosexual activity in 1988 by making amendments to the country’s Criminal Code. Twelve years later, the new Criminal Code was adopted by the Colombian Parliament with an overwhelming majority in favor.
