Topic: Government punishing Homosexual behavior and LGBTQ members as a violation of human rights.

The topic of today’s debates is of high importance for the Republic of Korea. Although homosexuality is not specifically mentioned in either the South Korean Constitution or in the Civil Penal Code, it is legal. Transgender people are allowed to have sex reassignment surgery in South Korea after the age of 20, and can change their gender information on official documents.
