Staying committed to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s essential principle of foreign policy- “Peace at home, Peace in the world”- Turkey is particularly determined to proceed in our common efforts of disarmament and counter-terrorism.

Preventing the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and of conventional weapons like Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) is a major concern to the Republic of Turkey. Our nation devotes to the issue of disarmament and is an active member in the Conference on Disarmament and engages in numerous forums to put an end on illicit arms trade.
