TOPIC A : RE-EXAMINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HEALTH AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Health is something that support the well-being of any industry in the world. After realising a striking fact that maintaining the health of the citizens means also guaranteeing their ability to contribute in the creating of sustainable innovations that drives the India’s economic sector forward, accessibility of the proper healthcare facilities and medications is one of the most important focus in today’s Indian policy makers. However, the combination of ethical and political dilemmas is making the government of the country difficult to create a certain resolution that can satisfy the parties involved, pharmaceutical industry, and economically challenged civilians. On May 12 2016, Republic of India has issued the National Intellectual Property Rights Policy Declarations, whose main objective is to make sure our Intellectual Property Rights protection policies is able to incentify pharmaceutical industries to innovate more without losing an opportunity to solve public issues and challenges that arise from it.
