Throughout history, humanity has experienced the necessity to work in order to survive. However, not all employers have an adequate treat with their employees, causing overwork, physical and psychological mistreat and slavery, actions that represent clear violations to their integrity. For this reason, in 1919 the international community gathered in the first International Labour Conference and agreed on the principles and regulations stipulated in the six International Labour Conventions adopted, apart from the other two conventions adopted in 1951 and 1958 each, which shaped almost every labour market. Nowadays, almost a century later, employees still experience appalling working conditions that disturb their wellbeing and violate their rights, including what is known as ‘modern slavery’.
