There are approximately 20 to 30 million slaves in the world today.Human trafficking has been an ongoing problem since society was first structured. Due to its significant malicious outcomes, a vicious cycle has been created, making the lives of numerous humans unbearable and damaging our societies in several aspects. In order to start finding definitive solutions to this issue, the International Community needs to start working together to identify the real problem and understand how it affects each area of the world. Human trafficking is a complex term that currently involves 5 main categories: trafficking for forced labour; trafficking in women for sexual exploitation; commercial sexual exploitation of children in tourism; trafficking for tissue, cells and organs; and smuggling of persons. Because of its vast amplitude and the many different factors that impact this problem, it is hard to address the problem from the root and eradicate it.
