Topic 1: Media Censorship and The Treatment of Journalists

The delegation of the United Arab Emirates (in the following referred to as UAE) highlights the big percentage of foreigners living and working in the UAE because of many people immigrating due to work possibilities. Therefore, the UAE is very liberal regarding censorship and that is why journalists are treated fairly and the media is not directly controlled by the government. Amongst other Arabic countries, we are considered one of the most liberal countries when looking at the media and journalists.
