Position Paper for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe

As we live in tempestuous and dangerous times it is an obligation to all of us to strive for a better understanding and cooperation to overcome the challenges, which have surfaced and intensified in the recent years. Luckily, we do not have to start from scratch, as we have built an organization that helps us to tackle the strains, plaguing our region. Convinced that the principles of the OSCE are universal and will lead to a more peaceful world, it perceives its commitment to our alliance as noble duty and an opportunity to serve the best of mankind.

I. Countering terrorism and violent extremism With deep concern, we acknowledge that international terrorist groups have grown capacities and have managed to establish global networks in order to expand their activities around the whole globe. Many member states of this organization have faced coward and treasonous acts of violence within their borders in the past decade. Last year, the Republic of Tajikistan has also faced the horrors of terrorist attacks, as its beloved capital Dushanbe was attacked by Daesh militants.
