The growing number of terrorist attacks all over the world deeply worries the Republic of Malta. Only a decade ago, the countries where such horrible events happened seemed like a far away, completely different world. Some years later, the terrorist threat has finally and with barbarous results reached Europe. While there had been cruel attacks on European cities before – Madrid in 2004 and London in 2005 to call only two examples – the way the terrorists execute their attacks has changed.
