Topic A: Media Censorship and The Treatment of Journalists

Honourable Chairs, dear fellow Delegates, Not only us but also further states that manage to form and transition to a democracy need time to develop and to function as a proper state. Fundamental principles and values represented by democratic countries should be honoured and respected. Human and Civil Rights are being mentioned and secured right at the beginning of our Constitution illustrating that Human Dignity as well as Freedom of Expression have an important meaning to us. Because our country is stuck in an unsolved and threatening situation, we need time to guarantee the Civil Rights to our people step by step so that they finally are allowed to criticize our acts and governance.

To get a better understanding of what we mean, you have to look at our current circumstances. It is in our interest to live out and to make use of Freedom Rights.
