The delegation of Denmark strongly encourages dialogues during the session in order to find a consensus between all members, thus defining the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s strategy on a multinational level.

I| The Baltic Strategy

Denmark has had a long history of cooperation with the Alliance. Denmark was a major contributor to missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, the Horn of Africa, and Mali. It even took part in the riskiest ones, with its base in the violent Helmand province. It has constantly provided its support to the Alliance, and especially concerning the matter of the Baltic Strategy. During the 1990s, Denmark played a key role in assisting Baltic States in their independence process, and was strongly in favor of new memberships in the Alliance of NATO.
