Topic A: The threat of Hybrid Warfare: NATO’s challenges post 9/11

In an effort to adress the complex and ever complicating issue of hybrid warfare, NATO must increase communication and dialogue not only between member states, but with non state actors and agressors as well. Condemnation of Russian actions in Ukraine, and subsequent sanctions, have only escalated tensions in the region. If NATO is to combat the threat of hybrid warfare, it must do its utmost to promote open and transparent negotiations, acting as a mediator of conflicts to provide a forum for nations and actors to settle their disputes in a nonviolent and mutually agreeable solution.
