In recent years with the proliferation of globalisation and the increasing demand for precious metals and other minerals, the topic of mining rights has grown increasingly relevant. Cambodia is no stranger to mining, gem mining having been done in the 1970s in Pailin, and the Cambodian government has implemented policies to encourage foreign investment in this industry, as well as the establishment of the proper infrastructure. Cambodia has a variety of mineral resources such as ‘copper, gold, iron ore, zinc, lead, tin, bauxite, sapphire, ruby, kaolin and limestone are amongst the most prevalent resources.’. ...
