SMUN Position Paper Committee : Organization of Islamic Cooperation Country : Brunei Darussalam Brunei Darussalam is a sovereign state located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Brunei's political system is governed by the constitution and the national tradition of the Malay Islamic Monarchy, the concept of Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB). The three components of MIB cover Malay culture, Islamic religion, and the political framework under the monarchy. This issue is spread widely in the world that causes problem not only to the people who have those fears but also to the Islam’s follower. Many moslems have become the victim of this false prejudice such as arson, assault, ostracism and discrimination in many societies. The sentiment of Islam is not just bringing problem to the individual, but also to the islamic country. Brunei Darussalam has experienced the effect of this issue.
