The Republic of Turkey has been dedicated for several decades to help the international community fulfill the central mission of the United Nations which is to maintain international peace and security. Our successive governments have done so by intervening in multilateral peacekeeping operations such as Operation Restore Hope during the Somalian Civil War, Operation Deliberate Force and Operation Allied Force respectively during the Bosnian and Kosovo War; but also through the ratification of the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (LNTB) in 1965, of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in 1980, and of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test...
