Since the end of the second world war, Nigerians have progressively managed to build an identity based on a common culture and a shared ideal for democracy, freedom and autonomy. In 1960, we became one nation, Nigeria. Since then, we have managed to achieve our independence and to developing a self sustained economy and a political process free of external influences. The colonial era is over and no countries shall one day rule us like Great-Britain did for more than a century.
