The International labor standards (ILS), do not only restrict child labor, work hours, and guarantee holidays for workers, but also let the whole world know of the significance of protecting these standards. The ILO protects people’s rights and promotes respect and work ethics in everywhere, which is important to any human being, including employees of power in society. The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been having all sorts of human discriminations and forced labor with its citizens. The international labor standards would benefit the country by implementing new regulations and protections of individual’s rights. The ILS should be universal in applications because it promotes respect and work ethics globally. As a developing country and the second largest country in Africa, it can change to have the ambition to grow and be a developed country.
