The state of Syria and Iraq is detreating rapidly with ISIL spreading terror across the two states. Due to the situation in both states there has been an influx in refugees dispersing to neighboring states as well as venturing into Europe. 5,453 Syrians have been resettled in the United Kingdom by the end of March 2017. The United Kingdom is also the sixth highest asylum seeker recipient, and has the highest rate of acceptance for asylum seekers with an 86% acceptance rate of Syrian applicants.
