China has maintained relations with Africa since the 50’s (1956), though it’s been in the last couple of decades that there has been an exponential growth in the country’s activities in the continent, as it can be reflected in the numerous deals offered to the many african countries. A $12 billion deal with Nigeria, $6.5 billion deal with South Africa, $6 billion deal with the DR Congo, these are just examples of China's recent investment in Africa.
