Topic A Position Paper: State building

The delegation of Argentina sees this issue as worth of discussion due to the theoretical and practical nexus this issue encompasses. Albeit there is a discussion to be had over the nature of the state from an abstract standpoint, Argentina would like to focus on the practical, institutionally based state building procedure. Syria, the DRC, and Somalia, to name a few, are examples of where a focused practical approach is needed. It is of the highest importance that this debate does not neglect the tangible effects of a state ridden with conflict; people suffer. Thus, Argentina would like to pledge multilateral commitment to this topic.
