The following topics are before the European Council: Reforming the Dublin Regulation and The future of European Union – China economic relations. The Kingdom of Sweden, as a member of the European Union since 1995, believes that these topics have significance within the future of the European Union and looks forward to discussing them at the upcoming meeting with the other members.

According to the statistics communicated by Eurostat in the early 2018, about 22.3 million people residing in a European Union (EU) State have citizenship of a non-member country.
