Future EU-China economic relations are a very important topic. The European Union is China's largest trade partner. And China is our second largest trade partner. China's recent economic growth is tremendous and very impressive.

 

Belgium and China have had a long-standing relationship, starting in the 70s of the last century. China is currently Belgium's sixth biggest trading partner which makes up 4.1% of Belgium's trade. Belgium would profit greatly from closer economic ties to China. In fact, we have already made agreements to 'keep unleashing complementary advantages'.
