With about 900.000 internally displaced persons and refugees seeking asylum within the country, Ethiopia shelters the second biggest refugee population in Africa. Both internal and external displacement has been dramatically increased by the recent droughts in Ethiopia which have caused food and water to become sparse in several regions, prompting people to migrate to ensure their survival.
