The Kingdom of Norway is a firm defensor of human rights and as such defends the right of individuals to health, recognizing health as the “state of complete physical, mental, and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (WHO Constitution, 1946) which must be ensured by all governments to the best of their abilities.
