Afghanistan, officially the Islamic republic of Afghanistan is located in south- Central Asia. Afghanistan bordered by Pakistan in the south and east Iran in the west Turkmenistan Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the north and in the far northeast China. 

The United Nations assistance mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) is a political UN mission established at the request of the government of Afghanistan in 28 March 2002 by United Nation Security Council Resolution. Its original mandate was to support the Bonn Agreement (December 2001).
