The delegate of Sweden finds the brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing by the Myanmar military an extreme worry. They have forced more than two-thirds of the Rohingya population living in Myanmar out of the country. Sweden finds it appalling that the Myanmar government does not recognise the Rohingya as an ethnic group and have blamed violence in Rakhine, and subsequent military crackdowns, on those they call “terrorists".
