More and more countries are facing problems with water. Climate change is leading to more extreme periods of drought, and more flooding. The Dutch government therefore wants to contribute to good water management worldwide. The Netherlands Institute of International Relations state that they are committed to tackling climate issues on a global scale and actively participating in international negotiations and agreements. In further deliberations, the Netherlands delegate would like to cite important facts that connect to the main theme of the debate:
