The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Global Strategy Against Terrorism on September 8th 2006. The Strategy is a unique global tool to improve actions to counter terrorism at national, regional and international levels. With its adoption, all Member States and among them Croatia have, for the first time, reached an agreement on the acquisition of a common strategic and operational approach to combat terrorism. This choice allowed not only to send a clear message against terrorism, unacceptable in all its forms and manifestations, but also to undertake tangible measures of struggle and prevention, both at the level of individual countries and at the level of the international community.
