Republic of Fiji – popularly known as FIJI is an island country in Melanesia, part of the South Pacific Ocean.
Located North east of New Zealand ‘s North Island – it consists of archipelago of 330 islands- of which 110 are permanently inhabited and more than 550 islets.
Total land area – 18,300 sq kms. 7,100 sq mtrs10% is land.
Two major Islands – VITI Levu and Vanua Levu– account for more than 87% of total poulationof about 9 lakhs
