GERMANY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: AN OVERVIEW

 

Successful sustainable development refers to a nation’s ability to meet the economic, social and ecological needs of its present population without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet such needs. This is the principle on which the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and associated targets are based.
