TOPIC: Providing safety to the world's most dangerous sink estates
The Republic of El Salvador is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America, with the population density equal to 311 per km2. In spite of its size, El Salvador struggles with an extreme crime rate. Although the value is plummeting - 2,560 homicides recorded between January and September 2018 marked an 11% decrease from 2,889 during the same time period the year before - El Salvador still continues to be the most dangerous country in Central America and one of the most unsafe in the world.
